Preview: Blues at Flames

Goaltending was a nightmare of last season for the Calgary Flames, who hoped to consolidate the problem by acquiring Brian Elliott of the St. Louis Blues. The transition proved to be rocky for Calgary and Elliott, who is winless in three starts as the Blues visit Scotiabank Saddledome on Saturday.

It is not known if Elliott get the nod against his former teammates after he fell to 0-3-0 with a 4.72 goals against average unsightly after the defeat 4-2 at home Thursday in Carolina. "It is not a full-game question? It's just minor faults here and there," said Elliott journalists. "And it starts with me. I have to make a save here and there, too, to keep us in it." St. Louis won its first three games before dropping the first two stages of its journey through three-game western Canada, scoring one goal each loss in Vancouver and Edmonton. The Blues have won six consecutive games with the Flames before dropping a 7-4 decision in Calgary on March 14.
